Smart Energy Pays (SEP) is a next-generation financial platform designed to bridge the gap between sustainable energy initiatives and blockchain technology. By integrating decentralized finance (DeFi) solutions with eco-friendly investments, SEP provides users with a secure, transparent, and innovative financial experience that supports the global transition to clean energy.
We offer different tiers of service, including a Starter, Basic, Plus, Premium, Platinum plans and features that require a subscription.
Currently, SEP is available exclusively via browser. A mobile app (iOS/Android) will be released later this year.
The platform is currently available in German and English. Additional languages will follow.
You can Register directly via smartenergypays.io. Enter your full name, email address, and a password, and confirm the terms and conditions. You will then receive an activation email. Once you confirm the activation link, you can log in.
For a personal account, your full name, a valid email address, and later an identification document for verification (KYC) are sufficient.
If you forget your password, click on Forgot Password in the login area. You will receive an email with a link to set a new password.
You can easily manage and update your account details from within your dashboard. Once you're logged in, all the important options are available under My Account. Here's how it works:
1.Log in to your account
2.In the Dashboard header, click on 'My Account'
3.Your User Information will be displayed
4.To make changes, click the 'Update Details' tab
Note: You can update all details except your email address, which cannot be changed from the dashboard.
Yes, you can request account deletion through your account settings. Please note this action is irreversible.
Smart Energy Pays currently provides full support in German and English. Both our digital platforms and customer service channels are available in these languages, ensuring an accessible experience for all clients. You can set your preferred language in your account settings at any time. All core features, documents, and communications are available in both German and English. Our support team is trained to assist customers seamlessly in either language.

We currently offer the following account types on the Smart Energy Pays Platform:
• Wallets (Crypto Account): Store, deposit, withdraw, and transfer crypto. You can also exchange crypto to fiat within the Platform.
• Reap (Fiat Virtual Account): Transfer crypto from your wallet, exchange it to fiat, and withdraw or receive fiat.
• Jdb (Fiat Offshore Account): Transfer crypto to fiat (exchange), and withdraw or receive fiat internationally.
• Reward (Crypto Reward Account): Collect rewards and bonuses for various actions.
We offer different types of cards linked to your accounts:
• Virtual Visa Reap Card: A virtual card for users with a Reap account.
• Plastic Visa Reap Card: A physical card for users with a Reap account.
• Plastic Visa JDB Card: A physical card for users with a Jdb account.
• Metal Visa JDB Card: A premium metal card for users with a Jdb account.
Yes. In addition to password protection, you can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for extra account security.
KYC ("Know Your Customer") is a legal requirement designed to protect you. It prevents fraud and money laundering.
1.Valid passport or national ID card (with at least 6 months validity)
2.A selfie or video identification with the same document
Typically 1–2 business days. If you register over the weekend, processing starts on Monday.
Enter your full legal name exactly as it appears on your identity document:
• First name
• All middle names (if applicable)
• Last name(s)
If a middle name is missing or abbreviated, the KYC process will often be rejected.
Always use the exact spelling from your ID (including hyphens, accents, and umlauts).
1.Start the process in your dashboard under "Start verification." 2. Select your country and the document type (passport or national ID card) 3. Allow access to your camera or file upload 4. Upload or photograph your document: • Front side and, if applicable, back side • No reflections, good lighting, full page visible 5. Record a selfie video (liveness check): • Slowly move your head, look into the frame • The selfie will be compared with the document photo 6. Upload proof of address (PoA): • Examples: account statement, utility bill, tax letter • Must show your full name and address, and be no older than 3 months 7. Review all information, confirm, and submit.
Typically 1–2 business days, status visible in the dashboard.
• Do not use scanned images – only clear photos
• Remove any covers or sleeves from your ID
• Make sure your profile name and address match the documents exactly
In addition to the standard information, companies must provide:
• Company incorporation documents
• List of directors and shareholders
• Identification documents for all shareholders with more than 20% ownership
• Company seal and administrator's signature
• KYC: approx. 1–2 business days
• KYB (Business Accounts): approx. 5–7 business days
• Incorporation documents (e.g. certificate of incorporation, articles of association)
• List of directors and shareholders
• Identity and address verification for all shareholders with more than 20% ownership (same KYC as above, including full legal name with middle names)
• Company stamp and administrator's signature
1.In the dashboard, select "Start business verification."
2.Enter all company data: name, legal form, tax number, business purpose
3.Upload company documents
4.Disclose ownership structure (with percentage of shares)
5.Invite UBOs (ultimate beneficial owners) and directors via email link → they must complete the KYC process individually
6.Optionally upload additional documents, such as an organizational chart or cap table
7.Confirm submission and wait for review
• KYC: approx. 1–2 business days
• KYB: approx. 5–7 business days (depending on completeness of documents)
• All names must be entered in full (including middle names)
• Documents must not be older than 3 months
• All files must be uploaded completely and be clearly legible
Smart Energy Pays (SEP) offers three types of wallets, each with specific functions:
1.SEP Wallet
• Generated when you first access the Wallet section in your account
• Supports sending, depositing, staking, swapping, and all features supported by the Smart Energy Chain
2.Platform Wallet
• Automatically generated when your account is created
• Provides seamless on-ramp and off-ramp services
3.OTC Wallet
• Special wallet generated exclusively for customers on the OTC list
• This wallet is only for OTC customers and does not allow deposits for anyone — it only shows the balance
Each wallet is designed to provide flexibility, functionality, and security based on your needs.
To deposit cryptocurrency into your SEP Wallet, follow these steps:
1.Log in to your account and go to the Crypto section
2.Click the Deposit button
3.Select SEP Coin
4.Choose the Smart Energy Chain Mainnet as the network
5.A unique wallet address will be displayed
6.Send your cryptocurrency to this address
7.Once the transaction is confirmed on the Smart Energy Chain, your deposited balance will appear on your Crypto Wallet page
To send SEP from your SEP Wallet, follow these steps:
1.Log in to your account and go to the Crypto section
2.Click the Send button
3.Select SEP Coin
4.Choose the Smart Energy Chain Mainnet as the network
5.Enter the wallet address of the recipient in the To field
6.Select whether the transfer is for Myself or Someone Else
7.Enter the amount of SEP you want to send (minimum 1,000 SEP)
8.Confirm the transaction
9.Once processed, the transaction will appear on your Crypto Wallet page
OTC Customers are special clients who have invested with Smart Energy Pays and are included in the OTC List. There are two categories of OTC Customers:
1.Normal OTC Customers: Standard members of the OTC List
2.Visionary OTC Customers: Premium members of the OTC List with extended benefits and privileges
Being on the OTC List identifies you as part of a select group of customers with tailored solutions and exclusive opportunities.
The Smart Energy Pays (SEP) Staking Platform offers users the opportunity to stake their SEP coins and earn attractive rewards through exclusive Clubs. Depending on the amount staked, users can join the Silver Club, Gold Club, or SEP Honour Club, each providing a fixed one-year lock period and tiered bonus rates of 5%, 7.5%, and 10%. By participating in staking, users not only benefit from consistent returns but also contribute to the growth and stability of the Smart Energy Chain ecosystem.
In addition to the SEP Coin, more than 200 other cryptocurrencies are supported.
• Crypto deposit: Retrieve the wallet address from your dashboard → scan the QR code or copy the address → send your coins
• Wire transfer (SWIFT/SEPA): Transfer USD or EUR to your virtual or offshore account
• Crypto: a few minutes (depending on the network)
• Wire transfers: 3–7 business days

• Crypto withdrawal: Funds are sent directly to your external wallet address
• Fiat withdrawal: Funds are transferred from your virtual or offshore account to an external bank account (SWIFT/SEPA)
Yes, SEP Coins can be staked within available programs. Potential rewards depend on market conditions and are not guaranteed.

Virtual cards can currently be connected to Google Pay and Apple Pay.
Yes, our cards are accepted worldwide wherever Visa is supported. Please note that certain merchant categories, such as gambling or money transfer services, may be restricted.

All legal documents, including Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and AML/KYC Policy, are available on our Platform under the Legal & Regulatory Information section.
We comply with international Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations. Users must verify their identity to access certain services and account features.
• Institution-guaranteed deposit protection of at least 70% for every customer's funds – whether held in cryptocurrencies or fiat currency, for both virtual and offshore accounts
• Compliance with international security standards (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2)
• Crypto wallets are secured primarily in cold storage
• All transactions are processed on the Smart Energy Chain – transparent and fully auditable
Smart Energy Pays is not a credit institution. All account services are provided through licensed partner institutions outside the EU.
Each account is set up with a 12-month term.
You can terminate your account at any time, but notice must be given at least 4 weeks before the end of the current term. If no termination is submitted, the account is automatically renewed for another 12 months.
Account closure can be requested directly in the dashboard under "Settings" or via customer support.
Your funds will be transferred to your registered wallet or account after deduction of any applicable fees.
You can make payments through your dashboard using various supported payment methods.
We support wire transfers, credit/debit cards, and various cryptocurrency payments.
Your transaction history is available in the Transactions section of your dashboard.
The transfer flow on our Platform is designed to guide you step by step and ensure secure transactions within the Biptap ecosystem:
1.Account Type Selection: Choose the type of account you want to transfer from. Only the accounts you own are displayed (e.g., Crypto, Virtual USD Account, Offshore USD Account).
2.From Account Selection: Select the specific account you want to transfer funds from.
3.To Account Selection: Choose the destination account (self-transfer). For transfers within the Biptap ecosystem, you must enter the recipient's User Account ID. The User Account ID is a unique identifier assigned to every customer to ensure funds are routed correctly.
4.Transfer Details: Enter the amount to be transferred. Optionally, add a description for your transaction.
5.Confirmation Modal: Before submitting, you'll see a summary of the transfer: from account, to account, and amount. The system will also display any applicable transfer fees (retrieved via API). Confirm to proceed or cancel if needed.
On confirmation, the transfer is processed immediately. This flow ensures transfers are secure, transparent, and properly routed to the correct account.
Withdrawals depend on the account type you select:
• Virtuales USD → Withdrawals are not allowed. Please transfer to Crypto first.
• Crypto → Funds can be withdrawn to your Crypto Wallet.
• Offshore USD → Funds can be withdrawn to an external account (SEPA or SWIFT) after adding a beneficiary.
Before confirming, the system will show a summary of your withdrawal (from account, destination, amount, and fees). Fees are automatically calculated through the Biptap API. Once confirmed, your transaction is processed and a reference ID is provided.
You can add funds to your account without restrictions. The Top Up limit is unlimited across all plans:
• Starter: Unlimited
• Basic: Unlimited
• Plus: Unlimited
• Premium: Unlimited
• Platinum: Unlimited
Users can withdraw funds freely. The Withdraw limit is unlimited for all plans:
• Starter: Unlimited
• Basic: Unlimited
• Plus: Unlimited
• Premium: Unlimited
• Platinum: Unlimited
Card Top Up allows you to load money onto your payment card:
• Starter plan: Not available
• Basic: Unlimited
• Plus: Unlimited
• Premium: Unlimited

This limit defines how much you can spend in a single card transaction (TAP):
• Starter plan: Not available
• Basic & Plus: Up to US$50,000 per transaction
• Premium & Platinum: Up to US$250,000 per transaction
This limit applies when withdrawing cash at ATMs:
• Starter & Basic: Not available
• Plus: Up to US$2,000 daily
• Premium & Platinum: Up to US$3,000 daily
